Learn to Live

Experience. Do you really?

Feel the air, taste the wind.

Know the embrace of grass,

or see the shadows of dusk?

Some people get lost,

They forget that life is everywhere,

Gentler then a water drop,

Soft as a finger tip.

Emotional spikes,

They hunger for.

The tearing of a knife,

or the rending, hateful words.

Something to remind them,

That they can feel,

Life is real,

thats what the hurt teaches them.

But life is not a burning coal,

it is peace, and utterly sublime.

With no emotional drive,

Just understanding and sensation.

Photosynthesis,

and beautiful curves.

Nastic movement.

and a blooming rose.

A real response,

and a lovely ripple.

Just a trick of the mind,

but oh-so-incomprehensable.

Touch wood, and taste salt.

See steel, and smell spring.

Hear my words,

and feel life.
