Self Destruction,
Masquerading as the Truth.
The Ballroom spins,
and no One is as advertised.
Virtue spits on Love,
and Greed returns the silverware.
Lust spots Greed,
and thanks Him kindly.
The drinks are passed about,
but Rage politely declines,
While Patience slaps Sadness,
and Death laughs at Them both.
Beauty sits in the corner, and weeps,
while Decay stares, completely lovestruck.
Joy hoists a toast, to this hilarious game,
and the room explodes in a cheer.
And all at once, Silence reigns supreme,
and Truth fills the void.
"Return your masks to their Owners,
We must bring about truth"
And Peace adds his voice,
"Indeed, Order must exist.
That being said, Where is My mask?"
So a merry dance began.
And Love was got lost,
as He removed His mask.
And every single great titan,
was in complete disarray.
Self Destruction removed Truths mask,
and stalked out of the Ballroom,
into the storming universe.
Laughing at the divine chaos.
Why the fable,
or perhaps history?
What relevance does this hold,
What Truth is to be found?
Love can find Jealousy's mask.
Just as Lust can steal Sadness's.
Truth is not always Beauty.
Hate can wear any mask.
