The Horseman

27 Horsemen ride through the desert sand

Blades and Blood their heralds

Gold and Glory their calling

27 Horsemen knock on the gate

2 Solid Oak doors between the men

Of peace and prosperity

And the men of Blood and Blades

2 solid oak doors torn asunder

4 horsemen shot to their death

By 4 arrows from peaceful bows

With deaths name written on them

4 horsemen bleed in the mud

23 horsemen ride through the city streets

Bringing the Blades from their sheaths

And bringing the blood from the innocent

23 horsemen reach the palace

5 guards stand upon the palace steps

Each trained to protect what they hold dear

Armed with sparkling steel and courage infinite

5 guards die for their kingdom

7 horsemen follow the guards

But there, their paths split

For while the guards go to salvation

7 horsemen meet damnation

16 horsemen walk the golden palace

Reveling in greed and gold

Stinking of deceit and lies

16 horsemen plan betrayal

1 king looks out upon his kingdom

Once a place of beauty and peace

Burned within a day

1 king wept for a world lost

3 princes witness their father

A proud man broken

They took up arms and resolved,

3 princes would end this all

10 horsemen circled the hall

Each with his soul dissolved in blackened putridity

They’re past sins shrunk at this evil,

10 horsemen willing to murder they’re brothers

6 knives flew through the air

Leaving hands filled with emotion

Judgment, Passion, and Skill

6 knives fulfilling their purpose

8 wounds marked the princes

Rent open by Blades of wickedness

Stained with the Blood of their subjects

8 wounds marked perfection

9 steps to the king’s chambers

The horsemen climbed with new vigor

United by a common goal

9 steps to its completion

4 horsemen stood before a king

With their murder, blades and blood

Against his empty palms

4 horsemen laughed at the king

1 king declared to the horsemen

“You have no power to harm me,

For I am faithful to God”

1 king declared, opposing demons

3 horsemen fell to their deaths.

From the mighty swing of one Blade

Untainted by the blood of men

3 horsemen fell to the power of good

1 king approached the saint,

Not one born of peace and love,

But made from pain and misery,

1 king praised his saviour

1 saint blessed the king,

“You live because of God,

And God killed, because of you”

1 saint cursed the king

1 king begged the saint,

“Let not God be tainted for my crime,

If they died in my name, let the crime be mine”

1 king asked the saint

1 saint killed a king

The blood of damned murders and holy kings

Mixing on a simple Blade

1 saint delivered Gods justice

1 man left an empty city,

Left a glorious, vengeful, weapon

Left a glorious, holy, mantle

1 man, forever chose his own path.

27 horsemen rode through the desert sand

Blades and Blood their heralds

Gold and Glory their calling

26 horsemen burn in Hell.
