Candles flickering

In creeps Halloween
Stalking slowly
Hunting hungrily
Reaching into your quiet bed.
Do not run
You cannot hide
Face your fear
or die of fright
No more day
You're doomed tonight
Halting steps
No one behind
Up the stairs
All alone
Lock your door
It will not help
Restless sleep
Maybe its a dream
Gentle knife
Upon your throat
Wake up shocked
and see your end
Start to scream
But cannot breath
Knife buried deep
